Pet Peeves

My Pet Peeves:

  • Chewing with your mouth open Please just close your mouth.
  • Licking your finger when you are baking/cooking I don't want to ear your saliva please.
  • THE WIND. It get my hair in my mouth and eyes.
  • Lol.... I don't know why, but its annoying.
  • Acronyms. Don't be lazy! Type the word out! Ex. ttyl gtg brb
  • Not finding a price on something at the store! ... Should I ask the cashier or not....
  • When people are late. Let's be on time folks!
  • Picking at your fingernails or toenails.... It makes me cringe!
  • Not complete stops at a stop sign! Come on! It says stop, not pause!
  • People who interrupt you.  Let me finish my sentence and then you can talk.
  • People who talk during movie. Don't talk. I'm begging.
  • Gossip. We are all human. Don't judge.
  • Facebook complaining. I really don't need to hear about how horrible your life is 24/7.
  • People who think they know your situation.... but they don't.... not even close.
Those are some things that annoy me... Yeah... I just wanted to get that off my chest....(:

Writing Prompt

It was just a job. Three years watching her through that machine, and maybe a little part of me fell in love with her. If only she knew who I was.

The alarm went off and I went through my usual motions. I hopped in the shower and quickly shaved my five o clock shadow away. I ran my hands quickly through my dark, curly hair so it wasn't too crazy. As i walked out the door I grabbed my lab coat and keys. Another day means another experiment check.

As I walked through the clear glass doors Ricky, the receptionist, was there to greet me.

" Good morning Mr. Sanders!" He said in his normal chippy tone.

I gave him a slight smile and head nod before heading into the elevator. The almost silent music in the background sent chills down my spine. I did not want to go through with work today. Practically torturing an innocent girl was not the kind on job I had in mind when I applied.  When the elevator doors opened Mark, my boss. was there with a cruel smile on my face.

" Today is a big day for us Levi! " He said grabbing my hand shaking it in his firm way.

" I know sir. Are you sure she will be able to handle it though?" I said still thinking of Paisley.

" She has been able to handle everything else we've put in that mind of hers!"

Mark motioned his hand to follow him as he walked over to the box that Paisley was being held in.

I looked down at her. Her blonde hair fell over the white pillow as she laid there with her eyes shut. Most would assume she was sleeping or dead, but we are the ones that made her stay that way. We could see and watch everything she was thinking, Her whole life has been a lie in her head. She has been in a lifelong simulation. She thinks she is just a normal student but that is all in her head. She has really been laying in a glass box her whole life. Everyday when I see how she thinks I fall for her a little more....

Got Dirt?

Today I mowed the lawn today.... It was SO windy and dusty! I'm not kidding.

Pretty attractive right? But look at my teeth! They look so stinkin white!

In other news, Hailey came home! It makes me happy! She bought me ice cream... And it was sooooo good. I sure do love ice cream. Feel free to bring me icecream if you are in the mood to serve.(;

That's about it..... Life is pretty boring... Mowing the lawn and icecream are life.

Get the Tissues Darling

Today I discovered a very magical song.... I heard it and I cried. And I'm not actually quite sure why I did cry, but man. I did. The song was ' She's always a woman to me' by Billy Joel. I'm sure many of you have heard the song... but not by Isaac Waddington.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZd0j2Jvnj0

Am I the only one who gets a little emotional? Well this is my new favorite song. I really am just so in love with music.

Clean Carpets!

Guess who cleaned the capers today?!? MEEEEE! My feet are super cold though.... Because I had to stand on the cold wet carpet for an hour.
Don't they look nice? So there isn't that big of a difference, but you should have seen the gross dirty water I emptied! And there was a lot of hair. I'm not sure how I'm not bald yet!

There I am.... Without make up... And without my hair done. It's a little scary to be honest.... But my husband is gonna have to see it one day! And so I might as well show you too!

I'm sure you all noticed my lovely head phones on.... And now you are wondering what music I am listening too. I am listening to the best radio on Pandora... And that is HOME FREE! Yeah! They are AMAZING!!! They are the best a Capella group out there. Seriously. Go check them out. I love a Capella. Let me show you my favorite song!!!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1MDKlsL0bmA

This song is the bomb.... But this recording of it.... Not so much. Instead just go on Homefree radio on Pandora and wait til you hear the recording there because I get chills of their harmonies!

#thankfulWednesday

Today I'm grateful for Roundup.

Now, some of you... Cough girls cough cough.... May not know what this miracle liquid is. It is poison. It kills.... Everything. Really. But It is for weeds. It also kills grass... And plants..... And... People.... But anyways. It is amazing. It saves me so much time and energy!

Now let's talk about the lawn. For those of you who know me, you know I'm a hard worker. I will work my tail off. That is why you have never seen me with a tail, because I worked it off! Anyways.... My yard is having a rough summer. When we moved here I imagined my grass to be gorgeous....

Buuuuuut some dreams don't come true.... And so it struggles.

Do you like cinnamon rolls? Not me! I like sod! I really wish I could level out my yard and put a bunch of sod in. I love sod. It looks like a cinnamon roll... But ITS WAY BETTER!

Doesn't it just make you smile? Look at the glorious green grass it has. Awwww. I just wanna hug it! You know what I don't want to hug though? Our garden.

We have a garden... It's great! It produces some great stuff.... But it also gives us... Bugs. It gives us bugs I've never seen before! Hundreds of them crawl over the leaves and it is so gross!!!

They are disgusting! They give me chills! I want them all dead. How did they not die on Noah's ark?! Sigh. Oh well. They were created for a reason..... I'm not sure what the reason is... Buuuuut I'll just trust that they have some kind of job besides freaking me out.

Yesterday as I was outside taking care of my wonderful yard, I realized it needed to be mowed. And mowing takes a while when you have a couple acres. I really didn't want to do it.... I don't like being alone.... And so I asked my 5 year old sister Lucy if she wanted to mow the lawn with me. Much to my surprise she was sooo eager to help me.

Now let me explain what we are wearing.... My eyes are super sensitive. They water when the wind blows! And so when I mow the lawn my eyes freak out.
So I have to wear those giant goggle bug looking things. I know. It's way attractive. Lucy is wearing sunglasses and giant ear plug things. Anyways, it was sooo sweet of her to help me. I love her!

Dear Future Husband

This month in Young Women's we are learning about every Mormon Girls favorite topic.... Marriage and Families. And I will be honest.... It's one of my favorite topics too! Because what type of girl doesn't daydream about their future? I already have my whole life planned. First off I'm going to marry Prince Eric.

Really though. He is quite the sight. But I also want a cowboy.... So maybe like a cowboy version of him.... That would be perfect. I can imagine it now...
... Oh! Sorry! I was daydreaming. But for those of you who don't know... I've been going through a cowboy phase. I don't know why ... but man. I want a cowboy. And so I have been getting my cowgirl on!!!

See? I'm such a cute cowgirl!!! Now I need a cowboy! I have also been listening to Country music... And that's hard. I've never liked it.... UNTIL NOW! Hahaha I'm doing it for my future cowboy husband! And together we will have 8 kids and live out in the country with a blue house with a white wraparound porch. It's going to be perfect! Sorry.... I just really like to daydream sometimes.... But what girl doesn't!?

Police Encounter

This week I had the opportunity to go to Washington Business Week! I got to stay at Central Washington University. I got put into a company and we had to start a business and create a product!

Our Company name was Dawfki ( Dependable Appliances With Future Key Ideas) We created an awesome Product called "The Double Duo" It was a Two in one  Washer and Dryer. It was pretty much the coolest thing ever because I invented it. Hahaha

It was a very different environment than I was used to because I was the only member of the church. My eyes were really opened to the world... and it was scary. Man, The world is getting a lot worse. But since I was the only member I had A TON of missionary opportunities, People would come up to me and ask if I was Mormon and I would say yes and they would say " I knew it! You just have that glow about you!" How cool is that? I was pretty happy to know that the Light of Christ was shining through me. I did make some AMAZING people though. And I got them all to stop swearing for a week... which was VERY hard for them because they all slipped up,... a lot. But I appreciated that they tried to stop for me.

Okay,,,, Now onto the SCARY part. It was Saturday night and I went to bed a little early. My roommate was on her phone doing something, so I fell asleep. At 2:30 a.m. There is a bright flashlight shining in my face. I open my eyes and see two guys standing there and so I say " Oh, Are we having a Party" Then I hear them chuckle for a second and realize that these are old men.... and by old I mean like in their 40's..... And they say " Natalie, You need to get out of bed right now. It is an emergency." I then realize it is the police. So I FREAK out. I get out of bed and am on the verge of tears! I am a good girl! I don't do drugs or anything! I didn't even know very many bad words until I showed up! And so The police say " Your roommate is missing." And You should know that I could barely talk to my roommate because she spoke Spanish. And I don't know Spanish! The only thing I know in Spanish is " No Fumo" And that means I don't smoke! SO I told the police I didn't know where she was. And they asked me what she was wearing last and who her friends were and of course I am clueless and exhausted since it is 2;30 in the morning. And so the police decided that one of them would stay with me while I slept in case I got kidnapped too. So I was freaking out! And So I got back in bed and texted my family to let them know that i was alive.... for now. Haha And I fell asleep... with a policeman watching my every move....I woke up and the policeman was gone and my roommate was there! SO I tried to communicate with her... which didn't work out very well.... but apparently she had snuck off with her boyfriend into his dorm. SO There is my scary story for the week(:

Can someone say mullet?

This is a horror story about a beautiful princess named Emily. Emily was a lovely girl! She was funny, adorably awkward, happy, and loved her hair. She had long beautiful soft brown hair.

( And no. That is not Ariel with brown hair. That is princess Emily)

She had a splendid ball coming up! She had been looking forward to it for months! She wanted to look her best for this grand event! She decided to go and get a trim. She wanted her hair to look as healthy as possible. So she skipped over to get her haircut and asked for a trim. She thought the lady was taking off a lot of hair, but she trusted that it would look good. When she looked in the mirror she was ready to cry! She lost a lot of her hair! She had a funky looking cut! It was a ... a ... a.... mullet.

Long story short, she had to stick it out with the bad haircut. Lets hope it't not too noticeable.

The White Rabbit

If I was a Disney character I am pretty sure I would be the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

I feel like I never have time to sit down and relax! I am always running from place to place trying to get things done... but I must admit, I am never late. Everyone else is simply early!(;  I have a voice recital this week! I will be singing 5 songs. I am pretty nervous though because I am not as prepared as I would like to be and some big music people in this area might be coming! I get to sing a couple opera songs. My personal favorite is called O Mio Babbino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-4TSWg2h3w It is incredibly hard to sing though! It takes all my energy! It kills my diaphragm. I'm pretty sure my diaphragm has a six pack.
While I am preparing for that, I also have to worry about our yard..... our GIANT yard. I am supposed to mow the lawn today, but it is so windy! All the grass would fly to my face! And I personally do not like to eat grass! Last week before we went to the cabin I sprayed all the weeds with Roundup. I came home expecting the weeds to be mostly gone, but they grew!!! The weeds just laughed in my face! So I am going to go around again and spray them..... We have these one weeds though that will not die. I have sprayed them A LOT, but they are stubborn little things! The only way to get rid of them is to pull them! And they aren't easy to pull! You really have to get down my the root. And they are like grassish bamboo snake looking things. I know. I am SO descriptive.

There! I found a picture! They are SO nasty! You have to pull them one by one!!!!

That's all I have for today! I should go mow the lawn now. Wish me luck!(:

Schweitzer Mountain

This past week I got to go to Schweitzer Mountain with my fabulous family! We rented a cute little cabin for the week in the perfect location. It wasn't too close to anyone, but wasn't too far either. Everything was perfect about it, except it didn't have..... DUN DUN DUUUUUUN WiFi. That's right. No WiFi for one whole week. How was I supposed to survive? To be honest, I am not quite sure how I survived! Luckily we had cable..... In our house we don't get any TV channels. We have Netflix! (Which is the greatest thing since sliced bread)I turned the TV on and to my horror a right in the middle of my show it just stopped. There was a 4 minute break where it showed advertisement! I was horrified! What was this horrible break in my show?!?! I learned that is was called a commercial. Let me just say, I do NOT like commercials. Since I have Netflix we don't have commercials! So it was quite surprising to see them. Cable wasn't as great as I remembered. All the swearing and immoral behavior was unbelievable! It was quite an eye opener to realize just how evil the world really is! I sure am glad that I live in my little bubble!
My dad has this "great" idea to hike to the top on the mountain. And this was a MOUNTAIN. It is not a hill like we have at home. This thing was a GIANT.  I was not looking forward to it. About 5 steps in I wanted to die. ( Working out really isn't my thing) I could barely move my feet. We finally decided to take a break. By the pace I was going, I wouldn't make it to the top until my 83rd birthday! Then I saw a fuzzy looking bug! So I flicked it off my rock and kept thinking how to get more energy. Then another fuzzy looking bug came on my rock! It seemed like these fuzzy bugs were attracted to me! And who can blame them!! *flips hair* (; I decided to ask my Dad what they were. It was a CATERPILLAR! A cute little one! I decided to keep it and name it! I named it Harold!

Isn't he so stinkin adorable?! Harold totally gave me energy! I was running up that mountain! Meanwhile while I was running.... Harold fell..... And was gone..... But I knew that Harold would have wanted me to keep running up the mountain! So I did! It was amazing.

I thing I enjoyed hiking..... Maybe.... But then again.... Exercise isn't really my thing!(;
The week was amazing though. I would LOVE to go again!

......As long as there was WiFi.(;
